Stay at MIT, TA a two-week class about Python in the second half of IAP to make a little money, and work on my thesis the rest of the time
or
Punt on thesis, go to San Francisco and work at Dropbox (some Y Combinator startup) for a month? Let's assume at least enough cash to break even on [rent in SF+rent in MA+food] is involved here, but that it also probably means long startup hours.
