as expected, more tasty things would have been pointless, and i helped make tasty things while i was there anyway. i attempted to go to random, but everyone wanted to watch $tv_show, so i got bored and annoyed and went to the diesel to chomp and read a book. their steamed-cider-with-caramel-and-whipped-cream is really nice on a freezing-rain night.

Getting thank you gifts for my grad school recommenders (including the ghost-writers, that's 5 people)....

I picked Splurge on $25/box Richart chocolates? It seems to have the right balance of awesomeness and inoffensiveness. If it cost any more, I'd feel like I were bribing them. i ended up finding smaller/cheaper boxes at richart that were more suitable. i don't think baking things would have been sufficiently professional, and i'd have to care about their dietary restrictions. and i'd have had to deal with shipping truffles/cookies all over the place. richart basically dealt with shipping for me.
