I tried. And it was going really well -- and then I said something I would have said to almost anyone else, and it all came crashing down. Now it's even worse. Well, at least I tried.

I decided to do Something else rather than Go downtown (which is closer) to an overpopular bar and get all my drinks bought for me. or Go into the next province to a birthday party in a more private setting, likely be provided with free drinks, but have a much harder time getting home.
