Take advantage of weakness ("weakness", "advantage") and tell him he'll either sell at 15% or I'll find someone else on Mattress Row that will; feel like a manipulative shit misusing fragile, vulnerable human beings who on the whole are just looking for a little companionship and sympathy in an objectively meaningless world; be forever haunted by his fallen face, like a dearly cherished puppy who has just been beaten with a stick; enjoy the rush, the overwhelming exhilaration that comes from crushing the competition, from beating a skilled professional at his own game *at a time that it mattered to him*, where we were playing not for money but for status, ego, the right of self-determination, /spirit/, the little moments of your life that drip down the drain and are lost forever; savor victory like the taste of human blood, in the jungle, 5000 years ago, taking the only thing that is really important from one who needs it desperately and exulting in it even as you see a hollow vision of an ancient, sad-eyed vampire breathing still, stale, bittersweet air, all alone at the moment the peasants at last overrun his broken-down castle, thinking, what a worn-out, dessicated husk am I, but at least I *lived*, I pierced the hazy veil, pleasure and pain were real to me, biting and stinging and vivid.. I guess this has stopped being a question so much leads over Give him my business at 31% margin so he can take his kids on a slightly nicer vacation; pay more than I have to (by at most, oh, $200); recognize that I fell for the "level 2" close story; feel slightly dumb for about a day, then forget about it; write software instead (of value >> $200) (2 years ago)
This one leads over This one (2 years ago)
Aww the cuddly wuddly kitty cat with the nuzzly wet noze leads over Aww the fuzzy wuzzy lovey dovey scratchy watchy nuzzly wuzzly kitty cat. (2 years ago)

Set in stone

I decided to do Something else rather than Huggle the white kitty! or Huggle the black kitty! (2 years ago)
I huggled BOTH kitties, and then I huggled both of them AGAIN the next morning.
I picked Bugzilla alternative over Livejournal alternative (2 years ago)
Well, you know, you can create a ticket, post comments on it, and mark it resolved. It even has a built-in voting mechanism (like Bugzilla!)
I picked Roll your own tools on top of the win32 API. Tedious, guaranteed to "work," comparable to building your own custom wheel over Use ATL/WTL (a win32 wrapper from MS that uses templates in, ah, "innovative" ways.) Potential labor savings, but anyone working in the code would have to pay a "template genius tax", and who knows if it does everything we need (2 years ago)
Y'all are nuts.
I picked Yes! ZOMG Costco! You'll buy enough to recoup the $50 membership fee over No, you're single and live in an apartment and try to eat right (2 years ago)
Well, I can alway get a refund if it sucks.
I decided to do Something else rather than 2BR: Settle down, have nice things, maybe stay a while, ensure that I can tastefully entertain new acquaintances and associates or 7BR: Balance my snotty professional career and smartypants friends with utter bedlam at home, at least until I can find a warehouse/loft of my own (2 years ago)
I chose the 2BR place, which was decent enough, but the roommate turned out to be.. ah.. not as represented.
