My graduate program is having it's annual gala holiday party in NYC this Monday. It's not only fun to see and catch up with old friends and collaborators, but it's an excellent opportunity for networking and career advancement. But I don't have much time off and I'm VERY strapped for cash....
I picked Send my apologies to the people I most wanted to see, and put that money (and the time) toward my upcoming move to Chicago instead? over Pony up the 150$ and spend most of the day on the bus to get to network, hang out, and bask in old glories and new opportunities? (1 year ago)
