lakmiseiru: What do you want to do later in life? Google is probably going to be more crazy, and if you want to work there in the future or are considering CA as a place to live, go for it. On the other hand, if you want to do research for the rest of your life, I'd pick CSAIL.

Mark: If you're *really* academic track *and* you find a urop with relevant connections, do it. Not that google will be "real world" but you'll probably meet a broader range of interesting people...
