Preservation of health >> frequent flier miles
Use the cat rule. "If cats went on business trips, would I feel bad making a cat do that?" Do not work for companies that treat you worse than you would treat a cat.
Your firm will totally foot the bill for a hotel room. Also, the difference in the price of flights might make it a wash. Also, worst case, I bet your parents would absolutely love to have you at home for an evening and shuttle you from the airport to home and to the city in time for your morning meetings.
Your firm will probably pass through the expense to the client anyway. A hotel room the night before a morning meeting is pretty standard, I do that for any trip farther than new york (and sometimes for new york). Makes me much more useful in a 9am meeting.
travel is a pain in the ass, and one "night" of sleep in your own bed isn't worth it.
