look into refilling the cartridge. my sister got a $150 laser printer & the image drum died almost immediately. they got her another one, and it broke again.
remember the next cartridge will have the same conundrum, and this generates less waste.
Printers are like modems, you never want to mess with them once they work!
no need to waste resources on a new piece of stuff

I'm confused. Did you put the prices in reverse?
You gain nothing by buying the 2k toner if it's exactly double the price of the 1k toner-- go with the smaller one!

IIRC, you can use the (cheaper) toner cartridge for the equivalent Samsung printer, after filing off a single plastic tab.
