lakmiseiru has decided Getting from Seattle to Sacramento to catch Amtrak to Yosemite Valley (additional $33) for backpacking

Though I shouldn't have waited, as the train was $192 instead of $125. But still, WAAAY cheaper and easier than plane!

My choice: Take a 20-hour train, connections are easy, buy one ticket, $125

Train! It's a LOVELY trip, especially going through the valleys in southern Oregon/northern CA.

Take a short nonstop flight, connections are hard (crash overnight with a friend), $200
