Doxory?

meredith: I have a PowerPoint presentation due in Deaf Studies on Thursday afternoon, it shouldn't take long to do. I have a paper due in History on Friday, it will take a long time.

concentrate on the history paper first and the PowerPoint last minute?

I've always found it easier to do powerpoint when half-asleep.

allot a set time for Powerpoint (and schedule this time for right before your presentation). The reason? If you do powerpoint first, you'll get all obsessive-compulsive about it and realize that you spent 3 days making slides. Then you'll have only one day to work on the paper.

Any brilliant advice would certainly be appreciated. Shameless advocacy is often good, too.

get the PowerPoint out of the way and then focus on the history paper?

totally get the easy things out of the way first. that way you won't be rushed at the last minute to get the PP done. If you do PP first then you can make sure it's exactly the way you want it and still have lots of time to do the paper. In my experience leaving the easy little things until the last minute makes me more stressed because I'm thinking about them while I"m trying to finish the larger projects.

If you make a stupid choice because a website tells you to, it's your own damn fault.
