Doxory?

snobiwan has decided My current job is challenging and I learn something new every day, but I get almost no support (it's always the same problems) and I have the feeling my job function will be centralized elsewhere. An opportunity just came up to apply for a transfer to a position for which I'm a perfect fit but I swore publicly I'd never go back to doing.

Submitted my application and advised both teams today. Everyone supportive of the decision!

My choice: Take advantage of the new opportunity, go back on my word, and abandon my teammates.

Any brilliant advice would certainly be appreciated. Shameless advocacy is often good, too.

Crow don't taste good, but it's not the worst thing in the world.

Unless you swore not to do it for a specific reason, go back.

But only if you'd enjoy the new job.

Stick with the challenges of the current position, hoping things will change for the better.

... this really comes down to why you swore you'd never do it again.

If you make a stupid choice because a website tells you to, it's your own damn fault.
