Doxory?

lakmiseiru has decided Invited back to visit UWashington's Biology program again. I've already spoken with some of the professors and visited UW for a week for other programs. They'd be paying. I'm short on vacation days and will be tired of flying by the end of all these visits!

Particularly because I enjoyed the University of Arizona enough that I feel I need more info about UW Biology before deciding.

My choice: Go out for a day or two, meet in-depth with people, and make sure I really get to know the people I wanted to talk to

IIRC, you sounded especially interested in that program. It'd be good to spend extra time with it to make sure.

Any brilliant advice would certainly be appreciated. Shameless advocacy is often good, too. Just kidding. You should go. As far as I know, the job you have now is something you're doing *while* you apply to grad schools this year to stay busy.

Beg off, explaining that you're short on vacation days and time

Unless you'd prefer the biology program over the other programs you're accepted to at UW.

I think it's worth having a bunch of annoying travel now, to get a better sense of later. But, I can't balance the annoyance of travel today against the time you've already spent there.

talk to them about it?

If you make a stupid choice because a website tells you to, it's your own damn fault.
