Doxory?

kevinr has decided I'm currently using a hosted wiki as a personal wiki to keep a lot of random crap^Winformation together, but I want to move it to a server I own. Said server currently has PHP installed, but I'd like to avoid adding more new services that depend on PHP if possible.

probably gonna go with Wifty, when I get the time to set it up.

Use MediaWiki (yes, I know it's PHP.)

My choice: Use something else (suggestions in comments?)

kyrandil
writing it yourself is worth not using php :p

I use Wifty (http://jifty.org/view/Wifty) for this exact purpose.

moinmoin seems pretty reputable and is Python-based
Mark
moinmoin is nice, esp. if you want to write new macros and filters

Of the wikis, mediawiki generally seems like one of the better ones. though also overkill for a single person. moin might be adequate, though I generally just use svn.

If you make a stupid choice because a website tells you to, it's your own damn fault.
