writing it yourself is worth not using php :p

moinmoin seems pretty reputable and is Python-based
moinmoin is nice, esp. if you want to write new macros and filters

Of the wikis, mediawiki generally seems like one of the better ones. though also overkill for a single person. moin might be adequate, though I generally just use svn.
