Any brilliant advice would certainly be appreciated. Shameless advocacy is often good, too.
Go somewhere a little more exotic and expensive, say, London (I think I have sufficient miles) or Nicaragua (I have a friend doing Peace Corps there, or I could wait until the next observing run and hardly pay anything for the plane ticket then).

london is warm? Nicaragua sounds like an adventure though, and adventures are fun.

One can go to London or Cali any time, but Nicaragua sounds like it's a limited opportunity. Go, but wait for the cheap fares.
