lakmiseiru has decided Asking this one again, because a few things have changed. I've been invited to visit both UCSD and U Arizona. UA seems a bit more pushing to recruit me than UCSD did; the guy I met Monday said I was near the top of their list. The UA trip means one day less of weekend-working to make up vacation days, and probably means I can go to my last day of physical therapy. I like both UCSD and UA, but neither is on the top of my list. I have spent time in San Diego but not Tuscon. Both places cover my plane flights over completely. There's some word that the department at UCSD is imploding, but otoh I doubt my partner can find a job in Tuscon (and has been offered one in San Diego)... but he doesn't want to live in San Diego either.
