Doxory?

lakmiseiru has decided Holiday party at work is the same day as one of my favorite professors is reading from his book at MITSFS; I haven't seen him in a year. They overlap impossibly (one can't go to both, quite simply).

Everyone in my lab is laughing about "oh, and are you going to bring so-and-so to the party" with the undercurrent of "s/bring/inflict/;" so I think I'm okay. There seems to be universal hatred for Division-organized parties.

Ian: Depends on how much not attending the holiday party is frowned upon
seph: tough call. I'd generally say go to the work one. Wok socializing is important. But, it's not a long term job. But, you may work with these people again in different places...

If you make a stupid choice because a website tells you to, it's your own damn fault.
