photon has decided One of my better friends is driving from Washington, DC to Las Vegas on December 6 to volunteer for the Hillary Clinton campaign. He's looking for someone to share the driving with and I've _always_ wanted to drive across the country (and this way it'd be on someone else's dime).

My choice: Go! $83 for a train ticket to DC isn't too much and if he pays for my flight back to Boston, it'll be awesome!

But the South Station -> DC line is a bit ... lackadaisical unless you are taking the express train.

I think your advisor will understand, honestly. And trips across the country are fun. Though a longer trip might be better... do it!
No! I'll miss three classes (though if we left Friday it'd be one class) and there's no way I'd want to explain to my advisor why I'd be gone.
