Doxory?

lakmiseiru has decided In terms of identifying myself religiously to people I don't know. I'm leery of calling myself "pagan," because for most people it implies Wiccan, which I'm not, and leads to a large number of assumptions that need to be corrected. On the other hand, it's a convenient one-word term, and a lot easier to say and explain than "Celtic Reconstructionist." For official stuff I use Unitarian Universalist (i.e. hospitals).

Celtic Reconstructionist (pagan) seems to work pretty well during test drives with new people, etc.

While Celtic Reconstructionist isn't a familiar label, it's a very self-explanatory one, and at least if people don't understand it, they'll know that they don't understand it and should ask you, whereas if you use pagan, they won't realize that they don't understand it.

If you make a stupid choice because a website tells you to, it's your own damn fault.
