Doxory?

melike has decided About personal/fun projects...

I started off with a big post about all my works-in-progress. I'm a bit iffy about sharing "confidential information," but I'll get over it.. or only refer to it in a very roundabout way and piss everybody off.

Blog about them only when you're finished, so that you're not disclosing any secrets. Besides, you'd sound 100% accomplished/victorious.

My choice: Blog about them while you're working on them, with the risk of feeling like a lazyass if you never get to finish them (which is often the case).

speaking as a project-er; your writeup will be no where near as in-depth or engaging if you write it all at the end.

Use it as motivation to finish!

If you're me you never finish them and then there's nothing to write about, which is sad. Write about them in progress and let your readers motivate you!

It may also provide encouragement to actually finish.

Consider that the embarassment of having the in-progress writeup out there *showing* that you're a lazyass might be motivation to make progress :-)

Blog about them while you're working on them, AND finish them. Speaking for the Internet, we believe in you!

If you make a stupid choice because a website tells you to, it's your own damn fault.
