I tend to think very intensely about one thing for a week or two, but then my brain switches over to something else (that's equally useless). So, at least there's a nice variety of obsession. It's all in good fun.

Trying to get your brain to be other than it is takes lots of energy. Save it for something better :^)

On what? How you're presented at work? Where the paper clips are in your house? How correct your bills are? Why your mole looks like a moose? It depends!
