Doxory?

photon has decided Going to Chile on Saturday for a little less than a week, though most of it will be spent on top of an 8,000 foot mountain.

Seems that I'll just be spending money at the airport. There's even a Starbucks there.

My choice: Just use my Visa card for spending money?

kyrandil
My understanding is that the visa will give you a better rate, when you can use it. Some of both.

Visa DEBIT card, right?

I'd also have some pesos on you for miscellany like tipping.

Both. It's better to have at least some cash for contingencies (i.e. for any places who don't take credit cards, or if there are any problems with your credit card, etc.)

Some places wont accept a Visa. So it is always good to have some pesos on hand.

If you make a stupid choice because a website tells you to, it's your own damn fault.
