Doxory?

glasser has decided I try to go to the gym every day. I have a bit of a cold, which is hopefully almost over; I really want to get better ASAP. (I generally do ellipticals/situps/pushups on non-karate days.)

My choice: go to the gym: it'll energize my body into fighting the cold better (plus is always a good idea)

but don't push yourself very hard.

Go to the gym, but do some light stuff - bike or treadmill walk, or yoga-ish. Don't strain yourself, but do give your body a light workout.
fisherama
just don't overdo it

When I was a runner, I found that running always helped my body fight a cold.

relax: going to the gym will exhaust my body and just help the bug

well, go, but do nothing intense. mild "not being a lump" exercise is good, but don't go as far as breaking a sweat.

If you make a stupid choice because a website tells you to, it's your own damn fault.
