Doxory?

gugod has decided I'm using Mail.app for mail, but it's performance is getting worse for I have lots of spam and accumulating number/size of mails. What should I do

I did both. Gmail is not my first line of mail processing, anti-spam and simple filter rules happens there. But I still use Mail.app to download mails from gmail to locally archive my email.

I picked something else

Switch my primary mail reader to gmail and consume their CPU / Disk

...or switch to a console-based reader like mutt. It scales much better.

Archive them somewhere local, but outside of Mail.app?

Or back up your old mail elsewhere but delete in Mail's storage space.

Move the spam away and be sure to use the Mail.app VACUUM trick

kmail works very well for me. I went from spending about 2 hours a day reading email with GNUS to about 5 minutes a day with kmail.

tough one.

If you make a stupid choice because a website tells you to, it's your own damn fault.
