My choice: Get a .com name, because everybody knows what .com is. And I wouldn't have to get the island of Niue involved.

Get a .nu name, because then melike.nu would be available, and it'd be cool. There are a lot of personal websites like that (ashley.nu, rion.nu, etc.).

Maybe you can buy ".nu". It's cool. If somebody doesn't know about the domain name, Just tell them the ".nu" is also available for DN.

a lot of the country TLDs are more expensive? i'd personally go with the cheaper options. that said, melike.{org|com|net} is already taken.

If you make a stupid choice because a website tells you to, it's your own damn fault.
