Doxory?

melike has decided I got a new last.fm account, because I couldn't remember my old username. Then, I found my old account, which already has 2000+ tracks in it. Grrr!

For some reason, I felt uncomfortable using sexymelike (even though I'm still kinda sexy, I guess). The FAQ says that it's not possible to rename accounts or transfer statistics. I figured that I'd always be listening to music, and so I'd reach 2000 tracks again eventually. No big loss. My old account reminds me of what a bad year 2005 was. heh. Besides, it might be interesting to see how my musical tastes have changed since then.

Keep the old account. (The username is sexymelike, so I'm kind of meh. I'm sure I thought it was hilarious at the time.)

E-mail the site's operators and see if they can remove the new account and rename the old one?

last.fm isn't all that social iirc, so the name matters less.

My choice: Start over with the new account, try to listen to tons of music to catch up with the old account, ugh. (Username is queenmelike, which is what I use for everything nowadays.)

Email the last.fm accounts people and ask if they can transfer your account data.

If you make a stupid choice because a website tells you to, it's your own damn fault.
