Doxory?

kyoki has decided I've been invited to go on the ESG staff retreat (ESG is a learning community). I'm a freshman--they want to discuss how to make the program better.

jtu: I'm not sure you'll get much useful networking there, but it could be fun.
Ian: I have a feeling the staff would appreciate your input. Plus, it's ESG, it's all about the students taking part in deciding what to do.
kyrandil: At least if they're going somewhere nice.
lakmiseiru: Meh, it probably won't be that bad, and it might involve Free Food. As long as you don't have real stuff to do at the time.

quince: If you really care about ESG, go. The networking is insufficent reason, the free food is also insufficent reason.
seph: networking. It's all about the networking.
holmesmd: Not to be cynical, but I've never seen anything useful come out of a "retreat" especially ESG ones... but it doesn't hurt to have the staff think you are involved in the community... those letters of rec can be really useful....

milo: how long is it, if it's more than a day, do you really wanna spend that much time with these people?

If you make a stupid choice because a website tells you to, it's your own damn fault.
