Doxory?

nelhage has decided I lost my iPod headphones. Acquire Bose In-Ear headphones ($100)?

Looks like I'll be going for something different, but not necessarily cheaper.

Sure! The sound quality (especially base) is actually pretty absurd. You'd listen to your iPod a lot more .

Check if you can get a discount.

Do you have the money to spend? If so, I'd go with Bose.

My choice: Nah, just get something cheaper. You don't use the iPod much anyways.

There's a lot to be said for not being immersed in music all the time. And the word's bass.

Though sound quality doesn't really bother me as much as it seems to bother other people.

The bose in-ears are supposed to suck. Try the Ultimate Ears, my current favorites. (Also, check out headphone.com)

Go for comfort from in-ear, and sound quality from circumaural.

NO! The Bose In-Earphones are crap. Look into Shure in-earphones (e2c's range about $200) or even Westone UM2's. they are extremely high quality in-ear monitors that are worth the cost. Or, spring for the Bose Quiet Comfort over-ear headphones, or Triports, about $150. Bigger, but decent sound.

If you make a stupid choice because a website tells you to, it's your own damn fault.
