Doxory?

susannah has decided I'm wearing this dress to the Senior Ball at my college: http://isomerica.net/~susannah/ball_dress and I'm not sure what to do about shoes.

My choice: Suck it up and buy the strappy white sandals the dress is calling out for - if you try some on tomorrow in Northampton, you might even find some that are comfortable, and you'd be able to wear them to anything else dressy you have to go to during the summer.

First impression on looking at the photos was something along the lines of strappy white sandals. They're also more likely to be useful in the future.

Flats with a dress that short will make it look more matronly and less stylish. I'd go for the reusable strappy sandals.

Get metallic silver ballet flats - they'll look absolutely crazy, possibly in a good way, and you can use them to dress up as an alien or fashion-follower in the future.

hard to tell color with the pictures, but metallic silver doesn't sound right.

Strappy white sandal heels are fun and give you good posture and make dresses like this look cuter, but they also can hurt. Ballet flats are fun and less painful, but they don't give you the same "up" lift that sandals have. I'm indecisive!

If you make a stupid choice because a website tells you to, it's your own damn fault.
