If the lectures are helpful, go to them though. Also, you might want to reconsider 18.701 next term.
I'd drop it - if you're not learning there's not much point in continuing. Perhaps keep it as a listener (just go to lectures) and see if you can retake it along with 18.701?

If you're going to be a math major...
I did feel that the 18.100B material, while important and interesting, only really "fit" after I'd taken courses that depended on it (701, 901, etc) and looked back and said "oh, THAT'S why we care about this property". (On the other hand, don't hurt yourself or screw up the rest of your classes/life for 100B.)
I'd offer to help, but I'm totally hosed. Poke me if you want help, anyways, I suppose.

Finish it with a B, but take the hint and give up on being a math nerd.
18.100B is a killer. Live with it. 18.701 is fun, but also consider 18.703.
