Doxory?

kyoki has decided 18.100B is kind of killing me right now. There's a slim possibility that I can pass the class with a B, but I probably will not have actually learned the material.

Asked 2 years ago

Drop the class and take it again next term in hopes of understanding it better the second time around.

If the lectures are helpful, go to them though. Also, you might want to reconsider 18.701 next term.

I'd drop it - if you're not learning there's not much point in continuing. Perhaps keep it as a listener (just go to lectures) and see if you can retake it along with 18.701?

The point is learning.

My choice: Stick with it because there's still a chance of catching up and passing the class. 18.701 next term!

If you're going to be a math major...

I did feel that the 18.100B material, while important and interesting, only really "fit" after I'd taken courses that depended on it (701, 901, etc) and looked back and said "oh, THAT'S why we care about this property". (On the other hand, don't hurt yourself or screw up the rest of your classes/life for 100B.)

I'd offer to help, but I'm totally hosed. Poke me if you want help, anyways, I suppose.

Sounds like it's actually less than "slim."

There isn't too much of the semester left...

good luck with 18.701 :)

Finish it with a B, but take the hint and give up on being a math nerd.

18.100B is a killer. Live with it. 18.701 is fun, but also consider 18.703.

Are you sure you want to be course 18?

If you make a stupid choice because a website tells you to, it's your own damn fault.
